For some board designs, we may need to add THT components. Whether for power or mechanical reasons, THT components are still necessary in many applications. Which is why Montronic has 2 wave soldering lines. This technology is ideal for designs where SMD components are only found on one of the design’s 2 sides. If SMD is on both sides, we design a specific tool to adapt the process, protect the SMD components, and guarantee the quality of the soldering.
For components that cannot be soldered with wave soldering, we have specialised professionals to guarantee the best manual soldering quality. This process is defined in the prototyping phase by the processes engineer and exhaustively inspected by the Quality Department.
